It’s flapping here!!

I am super excited to announce that my little business venture, “Quirky Bird Shop’ has opened it’s virtual doors!! Welcome!!

I am a Mum to 3 amazing kids, and we all live in a lovely seaside town, Sidmouth. It’s a very different place to the cities I have lived in throughout my life. (The headline news in our local paper on the week we moved was “Seagull stole my chips.” (or was it Seagull ate my sausage?)) We LOVE living here!

Quirky Bird Shop is a real labour of love and is packed full of uplifting and feel good products. All items will be sent wrapped as if they are a gift, with tissue paper,  positive affirmation stickers, beautiful fabric bags and the occasional silly addition. I have searched far and wide, near and far for little stock pieces of happiness! They won’t change the world, but they may just change someone’s day! A virtual hug, smile and giggle can go a long way!!

The goods I have sourced vary from the frivolous, cheeky and uplifting, to the more aesthetic items. All Jewellery is at the least hypoallergenic (Stainless Steel, Titanium or E-coated)  or Sterling Silver, so no allergic reactions! There are also some lovely items which put us a step closer to a more sustainable world. I have sourced some amazing products made from Wheat Fibre and Bamboo, both of which are a more Eco- alternative to plastic. They are super pretty and ideal gifts.I also sell Organic Shampoo Bars, which are ideal alternatives to plastic bottles and chemical shampoos. Have a browse and see what you think! I will be adding new products as I source them!

All items have been tested by friends and family, so I have had some very useful and honest feedback, which I am happy to share. When my 12 year old daughter said a product was ‘Meh” I knew it didn’t have a place in my shop.

Most products will be sent without plastic packaging and all will be sent in recycled plastic mailing bags or cardboard boxes.

I hope that the shopping experience from start to finish is a positive one and I wholeheartedly encourage you to let me know what can be improved or what you liked.

I am a new business and stock levels will be fairly small from the get go, but stock turnaround is fairly quick on most products. If a product states it is out of stock there will a new stock order on its way, so please keep an eye out!!

With Christmas merely weeks away I will be working hard to ensure all orders are met in time and the lines of communication will always be open.
